This line-up of workers includes Val’s great-great grandfather, who rejoiced in the name of Thomas Tripp Senger-Osgerby.  He is in the back row, extreme left.  The foreman is also mentioned on the back of the photo, being a Mr.Twidale, but his position in the photo is not clarified.  Perhaps the gentleman on the right hand side of the back row?
