Crossing the Humber by Foot (Don’t try this at home ... or on the River!)

When Lord Noel Buxton walked across the Humber from Brough to Whitton Ness in 1953, his aim was to test whether the Romans could have forded the River, as well as, or instead of, using a ferry.
