The Winteringham Wesleyan Chapel was on Sunday the scene of the wedding of Mr Richard F Tourret, of Maidstone, Kent, and
Miss Dorothy Elizabeth Bray, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H W Bray, of Clematis Villa, Winteringham.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory charmeuse silver rain-drop satin, designed on long slimming
lines, the skirt falling to a pointed train. The soft cowl neckline was caught into a spray of orange blossom and the sleeves fitted tightly about the wrist.
Mr Frank W Bray was best man, and the officiating clergyman was the Rev L H Jones.
The bridesmaids were the Misses M J Beacock (West London), K Meynell (Middlesbrough) and D H Thorp (Bridlington), all cousins
of the bride, wore flowered georgette picture frocks with halo head-dresses.
Following the reception the couple left for the south of England, the bride travelling in a model navy ensemble.
The bridal ensembles etc, were designed and executed by Pixie Berks, 32, Prospect-street, Hull.
